By Shelly Paxton
Midwestern artist, Shelley Paxton, has been broadening her skill in painting since 2010. Originally a sign painter in the 1990s, she now integrates photography and twenty-plus years of graphic design experience into her art and paintings. Shelley states that her painting style is evolving because there is always more to learn and many beautiful ways to express with paint. She maintains that painting for other people is always enjoyable, but finding something deeply inspiring for her is a more intense worthwhile art experience. Her inspiration comes from diversity in nature and people.
“Sometimes I just see something in the world, and I just have to paint it.”
