Aaron Spangler (Park Rapids, MN) is a contemporary sculptor who reimagines the traditional medium and technique of woodcarving. He has a BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and has received grants and fellowships from the McKnight Foundation, Minnesota State Arts Board, Jerome Foundation, and Joan Mitchell Foundation. Spangler's sculptural work can be found in public collections including the Art Gallery of Ontario, Hammer Museum, Whitney Museum of American Art, Minneapolis Institute of Art, & Walker Art Center.
